Tri Delta holds its members to high standards of conduct and scholarship. Although we are often busy with activities within Tri Delta, on campus, or out in the community, it's important to remember why we're at Westminster in the first place!
Gamma Nu Chapter has no minimum GPA for pledging or initiation, but we require our members to maintain a 2.2 GPA each semester in order to remain in good standing with the chapter. To serve as an officer or as a sponsor ("pledge mom"), we require a 2.4.
The chapter also strives each semester to collectively beat Westminster's cumulative all-women's-average, the college's all-sorority-average, or 3.0 (whichever comes first!). For the Fall 2004 semester, Tri Delta was ranked 4th in grades among campus Greek organizations.
To make the most of the learning process and encourage cooperation among our sisters, Gamma Nu has a variety of academic resources within reach. Members are paired up as "study buddies" and are encouraged to work together closely and hold each other accountable. Weekly chapter-wide study groups are also scheduled throughout the semester. In addition to our academic programming, we have a periodically updated listing of each member's major and minor (in order to facilitate tutoring and study buddies), as well as an exhaustive permanent study file that is updated annually with materials from various members' classes.
Additionally, Westminster has a wide variety of academic resources, including Reeves Library and the MOBIUS interlibrary loan system (which allows students to search all Missouri academic libraries from any computer), the Campus Learning Center (including the Writing and Math Labs), and the newly renovated Coulter Science Center.
