Although the Fraternity has a rich and varied history of service, both on the national and chapter level, in 1974 we committed to focusing our fundraising and volunteer efforts on Children's Cancer Charities. This philanthropic focus was further enhanced in November 1999, when Tri Delta formed a national partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Gamma Nu Chapter has always prided herself on her commitment to philanthropy and community service. Frats at Bat, our annual fall softball tournament benefiting St. Jude, is one of the Westminster community's most popular philanthropic events. Another perennial favorite is our 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, held each spring to benefit Camp Rainbow (a camp in St. Louis for children with cancer).  We also conduct an annual fundraising campaign called Count Your Blessings, in which we send mock tax returns to Westminster faculty and staff, friends and alumnae of the chapter, and members' family and friends; in 2004, this campaign raised over $600 for Camp Quality (a camp in southwest Missouri for children with cancer).

Our philanthropic efforts extend far beyond our work with Children's Cancer Charities. During formal recruitment each fall, we donate $250 to the Central Missouri Food Bank instead of using that money on elaborate decorations and other unnecessary frills (which also functions as a big step toward "no frills" recruitment!). We also work closely with Fulton Nursing & Rehab, donating flower arrangements to this local nursing home at the conclusion of formal recruitment and making Christmas cards for the residents. In addition, Tri Delta sponsors an annual Red Cross blood drive at Westminster, co-sponsoring in Fall 2004 with the men of Delta Tau Delta. We also participate in a variety of service projects within the Fulton community.

In addition to our own philanthropic efforts, Tri Delta is proud to participate in a variety of philanthropic events at both Westminster and neighboring William Woods University. In the 2003-2004 school year alone, these events included but were not limited to:
- "Cardboard City" - benefiting Habitat for Humanity
- Kappa Alpha Theta "Cupids for CASA" - benefiting Court Appointed Special Advocates
- Kappa Kappa Gamma Kappa Klassic Frisbee Golf Tournament - benefiting the Callaway County United Way
- Sigma Alpha Epsilon "Minerva's Quest" - benefiting the Children's Miracle Network
- Phi Delta Theta Lou Gehrig Wiffle-Ball Tournament - benefiting the fight against ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)
- Alpha Chi Omega (WWU) "Lyre Lord Pageant" - benefiting the Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence (CARD-V)
- Phi Gamma Delta (WWU) "FIJI Islander" - benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation
These events help to bolster our common commitment not only to community service, but to unity among the Greek chapters at both colleges.

Not only is our chapter dedicated to philanthropy, her members are service-minded as well! Westminster Tri Deltas can be found coaching children's volleyball teams, lobbying for an environmentally friendly campus, raising human-rights awareness, building houses with Habitat for Humanity, counseling for CARD-V, providing free child care to Westminster faculty and staff, tutoring, mentoring, and much more.
